Dr. Guillermo Z. Martínez-Pérez

Project Coordinator, University of Zaragoza

Dr. Martínez-Pérez is a social and health scientist with vast experience in ethnographic research and management of various humanitarian aid and capacity-building projects in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, he is the founder and president of the African Women's Research Observatory (AfWORO), a not-for-profit association that provides support to emergent African female scientists.

Dr. Elhadji Mbaye

Project Partner, IRESSEF

Dr. Elhadji Mbaye is the Head of the IRESSEF-Social Sciences Unit. He participates in the implementation of the 'West African Taskforce for the control of Emerging and Re-emerging infectious diseases' (WATER), which includes the Network of Ethics Committee Members in West Africa (NECMWA) initiative.

Dr. Samba Cor Sarr

Project Partner, Ministry of Health and Social Action

Dr. Sarr, in addition to working as a civil servant in the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action, is the Chair of the National Research Ethics Committee. Dr. Sarr has extensive expertise in health research ethics and is known for his commitment towards building the capacities in medical ethics of young female scientists across West Africa.

Ms. Farah Nabil

Project Manager, University of Zaragoza

Farah Nabil is a global health research professional and project manager with experience in the areas of migrant and vulnerable populations’ health, maternal and reproductive health, community-based health promotion, gender mainstreaming in health research, and sex- and gender-based analysis of HIV prevention technology.

Mme. Ndeye Mingue Ndiate

Project Advisor, Ministry of Health and Social Action

Mme. Ndeye Migue is the Coordinator of the Gender Division in the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action. She has extensive experience in the areas of: gender budgeting, gender as a determinant of health, gender in human resources, gender-based analysis of health interventions and research, and gender-based monitoring and evaluation of health research and programs.

Dr. María Hinjos

Project Advisor, Aragon Research Ethics Committee (CEICA)

Dr. María is the Technical Secretary of the Research Ethics Committee of Aragón. She has over 15 years of experience in ethical assessment of research projects and clinical trials and review of legal compliance and data protection. She is a member of the Directive Board of the Spanish National Asociation of Research Ethics Committees (ANCEI).
